You may select your preferred PHP version on cPanel now.
Please refer to the below on how to select PHP version from cPanel.
1. Login to cPanel.
2. Under Software> Click "Select PHP Version".
3. Click on the drop down list to select PHP version.
4. Click "Set as current" to set the PHP version.
