This knowledgebase is designed to demonstrate how to trace email SMTP logs and Delivery Logs for both incoming and outgoing messages.
Note:
Only the server's Admin has permission to monitor incoming and outgoing mail on SmarterMail.
1. Log in to SmarterMail using the admin credentials.
2. Then, on the left side, locate Troubleshooting.
3. Next, click on View Logs.
- Start and End - Define the start and end dates for the log files you wish to access.
- Type - Select the type of log file that you want to view.
- Search - Enter the words or phrases that should be present in the log files returned by SmarterMail.
- Type - When searching the logs, you can choose to display only the lines that match your search parameters or to show related traffic as well. Change this option from Only Matching Rows to Display Related Traffic to view additional data occurring within the same session.
