cPanel Server EOL Migration

cPanel, the leading web hosting control panel software, has issued an update regarding the upcoming end-of-life (EOL) of CentOS 7, the operating system used by many cPanel users. After version 110, cPanel will no longer provide updates and support for CentOS 7.


To ensure a secure and stable hosting environment, cPanel advises users to migrate to a new operating system before the CentOS 7 EOL.

The available operating system that cPanel supports,
  1. AlmaLinux 8

  2. Rocky Linux 8


Note that both AlmaLinux 8 and Rocky Linux 8 have basic support for PHP and MySQL versions below.
