If your domain name consists of your company name, for instance, exabytes.com.my, owned by Exabytes Network Sdn Bhd, the DNS acts as a business directory that assists web visitors in locating how to reach your site/company.
DNS has two primary records that determine the direction for your visitors: WWW and MX.
WWW is the server that provides web services for your domain, directing visitors to this location when they wish to view your website. MX is the server that provides mail services for your domain, instructing the sender's postmaster to route emails for your domain to this destination.
**Exabytes Network's Windows shared hosting operates its Web and Mail applications on separate servers.
How can you find your Web IP/Mail server IP?
Both can be identified through a PING TEST.mail.exabytes.com.my - the returned IP will indicate the Mail server that handles your website. Example: Ping has started.
PING mail.exabytes.com.my (110.4.45.5): 56 data bytes
64 bytes from 110.4.45.5: icmp_seq=0 ttl=62 time=15.512 ms
64 bytes from 110.4.45.5: icmp_seq=1 ttl=62 time=16.898 ms
