How do I activate SSL Certificate for my WordPress domains?

All Exabytes WordPress hosting plans come with a Free SSL Certificate provided by Let's Encrypt. A crucial requirement before you can activate the Free SSL Certificate for your WordPress domain in the control panel is that the DNS A record of your domain needs to be directed to our WordPress hosting server.  Refer to  this article for guidance on how to find your WordPress Web Server IP if you are utilizing a third-party DNS Name Server for your WordPress domain.

1. Access your WordPress control panel through your client area portal.

2. Upon reaching your WordPress dashboard, locate the "Let's Encrypt" icon.

3. Click on it and enter your contact email, ensuring that the box for "Include a 'www' subdomain for the domain and each selected alias" is checked. This allows the issued certificate to grant you access to your domain as both  https://www.exabytesdemo.blog and https://exabytesdemo.blog (with and without www)

4. Click Install, and if your domain has been appropriately pointed to our web server IP as mentioned earlier, it will take approximately 10-15 minutes for the certificate to be installed on your domain.

Let's Encrypt SSL is a Domain Validated SSL Certificate. If you wish to enable the Green Address Bar EV SSL certificate for your WordPress installation to enhance the trustworthiness of your website (particularly if you are operating a WordPress eCommerce store like Woo Commerce), please reach out to our WordPress consultant so we can assist you in obtaining a custom EV (Extended Validation) SSL Certificate.
