Your online competitors are the online businesses that share a similar audience with your website. They may sell the same products, training materials, services/industry or it could be a different business altogether, but provide similar content on their website with that you provide on your website.
It is important for you to identify them, monitor them, and understand what kind of work they're putting into their own site, so you can compare your performance and see what is working for you against your competition.
To add your website competitors:
From your account, click on 'Competition' in the upper left corner of the screen.
You will be directed to a new page and there will be a button to 'Add a Competitor''.
You can research for competitors and add their website address. Once you are done, click on 'Add competitor'.
You will be able to see all your competitors and manage them from here. You may also delete them by clicking on the 'X' on the top right of the competitor website preview.
Tips:
If you are not sure who your competitors are you can:
Select one from the list of suggested competitors we give you based on your keywords.
Go to any search engine (Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc) and type one of your keywords or phrases. The organic websites you will see in the top positions of the results page are the ones that rank better for that given keyword, and therefore they are considered your competitors.
Another way is checking companies/users within your location within the same industry/ business.
